Chatty Weekend

I haven’t been to Chattanooga in quite a few years and when my friend Ed asked if I wanted to head over that way for the weekend, I jumped at the chance. With all the moderate crack lines around the city it seemed like a perfect place for me to get in some much needed trad mileage.
Saturday we drove down from Asheville, set up camp, and headed to T-Wall. I was reminded right away of those beautiful orange corner cracks. With perfect, if not warm, weather we had our pick of any number of classic line.
We decided to switch it up and climb at Sunset Park on Sunday. None of us had ever climbed at Sunset and once we figured out the parking situation we hiked out to the crag.
( Park at the Craven House parking area and linkup with the Bluff trail from there). The classics hit ya right away with Stan’s Crack, Bill’s Route, Jefferson Airplane, and RJ Gold. Keep walking along the cliff band and you’ll be greeted with more high quality classics than you can shake a cam at.

Welcome fellow climbaholic! Lovely photo of Ed bringing the jams. Beautiful orange rock.
Ah, yes indeed. Welcome to the crux. Very sweet photo! You should consider being a photographer for a living!
This picture is cool as hell, Shannon. Thanks for sharing!
Nice work Shannon. You’re making me miss the Carolina stone, though Yosemite season is on its way too!
